Brahmastra Review: Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhat Cast a Spell on the Audience

 Brahmastra is a movie that explores the premise of "What if God existed?" It's directed by Ayan Mukerji and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. The movie is based on an ancient Indian epic called Mahabharata.
The film also stars Amrita Singh as Kunti (mother of Pandavas), Abhishek Bachchan as Dhritarashtra (father of Kauravas), Jackky Bhagnani as Vrishaketu and Manoj Bajpayee as Dronacharya.

Plot Summary

The film is based on the story of a scientist who invents a missile that can destroy any target. He gives it to the Indian army and they use it against Pakistan, but then an American scientist steals it from them and uses it against India.
After this, there is a lot of action and fighting between good guys and bad guys as well as some romance thrown in for good measure!

Themes

The themes of Brahmastra are explored through the relationships between the characters. The power of love, friendship and courage are all shown in this movie.
The movie starts off with a scene where Amitabh Bachchan is talking about how he has been waiting for his son to come back home after many years. It shows how much he loves his son and wants him back in his life again. In another scene Ranbir Kapoor comes back home after being away for so long but he doesn't tell anyone that he is there because he doesn't want anyone else to get hurt by any bad people who might be after him because they think that he has something important with him (which turns out later on). This shows how much Ranbir cares about his family members as well as friends even though they may not know each other very well yet!

Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan) is an old man who lives alone with his wife Anjali (Alia Bhat). He is a scientist and has been working on a formula for many years now. Raj's wife does not know about this project but he tells her that he is working on something related to space travel which makes her happy as she wants him to come back home after so many years of being away from them due to work commitments abroad. Raj has two children: Aarav who was born during his marriage with Anjali while Arjun was born later when they were separated due to some misunderstandings between them due to which Arjun doesn't even know who his father is!
Arjun Malhotra (Ranbir Kapoor) comes back home after having spent 20 years abroad where he grew up without knowing anything about India or its culture because of which he feels like an outsider here too! His mother always wanted him back but never told anyone about it because she didn't want any trouble between her husband & son since both men love each other very much."
